My turn for the Nursery run last night and I thought I'd take a few shots of my kids. Friends and family are always asking and I always have to say that I just don't get enough time to take pictures of my own kids. Well, there really is no excuse. Last night I made time and so at last I have some shots to show people. Here are a few of them...

Choosing a wedding photographer...
Choosing a wedding photographer is easy. There are just two things to consider.
- Do you love the pictures?
- Do you like the person?
If you answer yes to both these questions, you've found your photographer.
Why not consider the cost? OK, of course the cost is important but consider this. Next to the ring, what else is left of your big day ten years from now? The pictures of course! The pictures of that incredible, expensive dress. The pictures of those beautiful and expensive flowers. All that delicious food for 100 people. The most incredible fairytale wedding venue which cost how much? Whatever the pictures cost, they'll last till the next generation becomes custodians of them.
So choose a photographer based on whether you love the pictures and whether you like the person. After all, the photographer will be with you more than any other person on your wedding day.
Michael and Fiona
Michael and Fiona married at Oulton Hall last Friday. It was my smallest wedding. 17 people.I was nervous.I mean, I've shot fashion shoots with more models than this. How can I capture the magic moments if nothing happens? It's fine with a hundred people, you can pretty much guarantee that something amazing will happen, but 17? Of course, I shouldn't have worried. First of all it was at Oulton Hall, a five star hotel that knows how to make a bold statement. One of the finest 'butlers' in the country was there to see that everything ran perfectly. Karim, you are a true gem!Secondly, the couple themselves were a total delight. It was an honour to be part of their big day. You just know when the bride and groom are a perfect match and Michael and Fiona are such a couple. If you're logging on from the Maldives, have a wonderful honeymoon!
Yesterday's Wedding Fair at Hazlewood Castle...
Gemma Farrow, you're an angel. You and your team have done it again. Beautiful sunshine and loads of smiley, happy couples. Hazlewood really is a fabulous venue for a wedding. Set in 77 acres of Yorkshire countryside, just 20 minutes from Leeds and York. It has its own chapel in the grounds, a beautiful courtyard and water garden. 21 individually designed bedrooms, a spectacular reception area and Great Hall. You'll feel like a queen in your very own castle for the day. I guarantee you great pictures, whatever the weather. "Hey show us" said Sophie. "Show us how good our pictures will be" Now there's a challenge. "OK", I said. " Let's take half an hour and see what we can come up with. Who wants their picture taken?" Have a look at the pictures below...
Wedding Fair at Hazlewood Castle
Sunday's the day. This is a big one. Ever popular and crammed full of vendors. If your passing by, make sure you pay us a visit.
Some of the meet up pictures of Fiona a few weeks before her marriage to Michael Carter. Good luck on the big day at Oulton Hall.
Gul and Asim
What a great couple! Gul and Asim are planning their marriage this year and as you can see, they look great together. Guys, it was a wonderful to meet you and share a Bradford curry with you. Your wedding day will be very special.
Great Victoria Wedding Fair
The Great Victoria hotel is a landmark victorian building, slap bang in the heart of Bradford, a short walk from the theatres and the National Media Museum and a short drive from the Yorkshire countryside. Featuring 57 chic, contemporary rooms and suites, a funky, arty bar and the popular Corniche Restaurant and Grill. I love hotels like this for weddings because it's small enough for the bride and groom to feel like they own the place and everything is so tastfully decorated that creating beautiful photos is a breeze. It was great to see everyone at the exhibition and meet a few more vendors as well. Phil Barber, let's do lunch and chew the cud soon, as long as you promise not to bore me with Canon stories and I promise not to bore you with Nikon stories ok? Nicola was our Galaxy bride who got married in this hotel, so i thought it would be cool to invite her to show off her wedding album at the stand. She's also a lot better looking than me and I figured, bride's would rather talk to her than some photographer anyway so she became my sales woman for the day. Thanks Nicola, smile for the camera! It also allowed me to wander around and take pictures and generally chat, something I prefer to do. Special mention to my good friend Andreas Constantinou who nicked some of my pictures for his stall! He's a key member of the British Hairdressing team who's won a gazillion awards over the years. Let's steal one of his models and walk around the hotel and try out the new video light. Yes let's...
The Great Victoria's new Penthouse.
The new Penthouse suite has just opened. No one's stayed in it yet so I couldn't resist having a looksee. To any potential brides I'll say this... It's perfect for your wedding night. Massive open plan, loft style penthouse suite with dining room and lounge, beautifully decorated and feauturing twin his and hers baths! I love details like that for photos and you'll love the pictures taken anywhere in the hotel but particularly from your suite. Let's see some quick shots...(We only had a few minutes)
