Great night last night. In the centre of Leeds shooting Sarah Jessica Parker lookalike, Danielle Watson, in a copy of the Vivienne Westwood dress worn in the upcoming movie. The dress was made by Louella of Rawdon and Harrogate and the spoof fooled a lot of people. Our base for the evening was the Restaurant Bar and Grill in City Square, from there we walked the fountains, the Victoria Quarter and Queens Hotel attracting raised eyebrows and shocked looks wherever we went. Claire Benson was the stylist from The Benson Hefti Partnership and did a great job creating that legendary Carrie Bradshaw hair. Thanks to Sue from Louella who didn't mind us getting the dress a teeny bit wet in the fountains. Pure silk? whoops. Some of the pictures will be posted here soon and you can see some more in the next edition of H2B Magazine. Thanks to Neil Saville for making it all happen so fast despite the fact that only that morning you were in a jail cell for six hours! Ask him about the story if you see him. He'll dine out on it for years.

The dress will be made by Louella of Rawdon and Harrogate and all the press and radio are involved so it shoud be suitably chaotic.
Good luck to Nikki and Michael who are getting married in the next few weeks at Wooley Hall, a wonderful 17th Century Manor House set in 20 acres of Italian Gardens. Judging from these shots outside their home the other day, they will look like the perfect couple!
I keep getting asked to see examples of finished albums, so here's another. This one from a wonderful, intimate wedding of around 17 people in the Library of Oulton Hall. Michael and Fiona were the perfect couple and I wish them many years of happiness. One thing I keep saying to my new brides when booking a wedding photographer is to not worry too much about the style and size of albums. The market changes so quickly that what I'm useing now, Graphistudio, Glorious Books and Jorgenson, may well be completely different when you get married a year from now. One thing's for sure though, standards will only get better and the quality in the market will only improve. Remember, choose a wedding photographer based on their pictures and personality. Books can easily be changed or sourced from a different supplier but the style of photography cannot be changed.
I often get asked to shoot some strange projects. I politely turn all but a few requests down.Every now and then though, someone asked me to do something like..."take some pictures of vegetables but not like the food magazines, like you would shoot people." and this type of request interests me. So, if you see a man with a camera smiling at a cucumber while saying "work it baby"...That'll be me then!
