Just finished the book design for Sarah and Chris who's wedding was back on the 9th August. I've featured this wonderful couple on the blog all the way from the preshoot in June so I thought I'd complete the story by posting some of the pages from the book here as well. This weekend is going to be another busy one though I've a feeling I'm gonna have a blast on Saturday. The inner City Wedding of Claire and Lucas featuring a double decker bus and no fewer than three venues! A couple of weeks ago Claire invited me to her bridal fitting at Pronuptia in Leeds and the pictures were fantastic. Luke - Wait till you see Claire in that dress. Spectacular! I'll post some of those pictures after the wedding just prior to the wedding shots themselves. They'll be worth the wait. Some weddings you really look forward to. This is one of those weddings. Next month I'll be taking my family to a wedding as guests and also documenting the event for Sarah and Stephen. Can't wait to see you guys and the rest of the family on the day. Not long now...
As promised, here are the pictures from last Sunday. What a wonderful couple! I've been so fortunate this year to have witnessed so many wonderful weddings. Clare and Ben, you are terrific together. When you get back from honeymoon I can't wait to show you those Blues Brothers pictures! Ben dancing like there's no tomorrow and the girls shaking their tail feathers in perfect three part harmony! Makes me smile thinking about them. Thanks for letting me share your day.
Last week I was chatting to a couple in Ilkley and they asked me an interesting question. "Are you ok with kids?" "They're great", I said, "but I couldn't eat a whole one!" ... Old joke of course but I suspect they weren't sure if I was serious. Let me say right now for the record. If you're thinking of banning children for your wedding then have another think. In my experience, kids really help to lighten the atmosphere to party level during the day. Grown ups love interacting with each other when children are around and this all makes for great pictures. Last Sunday I was fortunate to be invited to photograph Clare and Ben getting married in Bagden Hall. I'll post some of those pictures in the next few days but first, here are some of the children at the event and I guarantee you, they will bring a smile to your face. Make it a 'Yes Kids' rule at your wedding.
